2017 Spring Season Information

​HVSA offers a recreation league for girls’ age 5 to 14 living in the Happy Valley/Clackamas area. Emphasis on having fun, developing fundamental skills, learning good sportsmanship and growing as a team.  

  • Spring 2017 online softball registration -  Monday January 9th through Friday February 17th

10UAges 9/10 are introduced to pitching, base running skills, bunting and team defensive play. Basic throwing, fielding, and hitting skills reinforced
12UAges 11/12 are encouraged to develop pitching/catching skills. Team play emphasis on defense with consistent display of fielding basics
14UAges 13/14 offers more advanced team play, offensive/defensive game strategies are taught and executed. Many players at this level may be advancing to high school play or playing for competitive travel teams

Maximum family fee $300 **Player scholarships available

  • Coaches needed, no experience necessary! 
  • Sunday evening youth hitting clinics courtesy of Clackamas High School Softball  
    • Jan 8th (cancelled due to weather), 22nd, 29th, Feb 12th and 26th.  
    • $25 payable to Clackamas Softball, (contact CHS Softball coach Angie Hemming for more info)
  • Coaches will notify HVSA players of team and practice schedule/location mid March
  • HVSA team practices begin the first week in April
  • Practices will be two evenings per week at local school fields
  • HVSA Jamboree with first game, team pictures and fundraising ball toss - Saturday April 22nd
  • HVSA games start early May and will be the same evenings as practice at home and away fields
  • End of Season Tournament - June 10, 11th and 12th
